Curated Style: Diner en Blanc

What a pleasure it was to get notified that Curva-Lish is one of the approved media outlets to cover Dallas' Diner en Blanc!

It's a celebration like no other bringing together many in communities of the host city to dine, dance and celebrate life!

Diner en Blanc has a strict dress code and tabletop rules regarding what is acceptable in the spirit of the celebration.

Dress code: absolutely no color, white (not cream, not beige) and metallics (think gold, silver, bronze, etc).

I will be making eight posts to help you prepare for Diner en Blanc in your city in three areas: curating what to wear, curating your tabletop, and curating your event beauty.

Diner en Blanc can be an experience like The Met Ball...it's a time to uplevel what you'd normally wear to an event and let your creativity soar!

Let's get started!

My friends at Viper Consignment in Dallas helped me with my first post. And I also did some thorough research on my partner site for Rent the Runway. I wanted to give you all the options that renting your special outfit is completely possible and a great way to wear a $1,200 special dress, for example, for only $100-250!

Why not!

Renting (or consigning) your outfit gives you the ability to wear something super special without breaking the bank!

Viper Consignment

Viper Consignment is local to Dallas and is owned by one of Dallas' best Fashionistas, Julia Kanaan and managed by the fabulous Marc Dash.

Below Julie models some curated looks currently available from Viper for Diner en Blanc...

Fishtails on a dress is a classic look that is timeless and will give you both the benefit of a fitted look while also giving you some legroom for a night of dancing! This Alexis White dress retails for $995 and consigns for $200!

This dress checks off multiple chic details. This C'est Moi dress is flowy, has the most gorgeous white crystal embellished detail and will make you feel like a princess! And thank God the rental fee of $250 is better than the $2,400 retail cost! Yasss!

Wearing an all white pantsuit can be boring, especially if it's not made from a high quality fabric. Our take on the white pantsuit is showing sexy shoulders via a Johanna Ortiz halter top with ruffled bottom and a satin type material that gives it a bit of gloss! Top retails for $895 and consigns for $250!

*** You can visit Viper Consignment at 3001 Knox St., Suite 104, Dallas, TX 75205 and call them at 214.298.4709.

Rent the Runway
Rent the Runway is the industry leader when it comes to renting a special outfit for chic occasions like Diner en Blanc. If you aren't fortunate to have a local shop to rent a special dress, Rent the Runway has you covered!

I looked for outfits that I thought could be dreamy, not basic, with special detail or all of the above!

Check out my picks to take it up a notch!

For a few cities, Diner en Blanc lands in the Fall. I could not think of a more dreamy dress than this delicate lace dress by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini that retails for $1,200 and rents for $160-180. Simply gorgeous and angelic.

Rompers were huge all summer! You can continue that trend with this beautiful sleeveless "pants" romper (jumpsuit) with an asymmetrical top detail that shows sexy decolletage without showing too much! Made by Solace London, it retails for $535 and rents for only $65-100...yasss!

If your legs are your best asset, then this is the Diner en Blanc dress for you! An added bonus is that the pretty ruffles on this 100% cotton dress are on the front and back, giving you many picture angles of cuteness! Yes please! This MSGM dress retails for $474 and rents for $60-80!

Continuing on the lace trend, what I love most about this dress is that it is perfect for women with curves! The tiered lace and deep V front makes this one of my favorites...just don't forget the double-sided tape (wink, wink)! Made by Nicholas, this sheath dress retails for $595 and rents for $90-105!

Don't forget that Rent the Runway has plus sized options as well! I like this dress because the simple sheath draws your eyes to the flounce sleeves and will allow you to really play up your accessories and shoes...hello! This dress is made by the fabulous folks at Eloquii and retails for $120, renting for only $30!

I love this dress option for two reasons: you get a high-low hem option and this will be a comfortable sitting option (see pic above). There is also a sexy triangle back that delivers quiet sex appeal! This Halston Heritage dress retails for $585 and rents for $80-100 and will give you serious dancing mileage!

I hope you enjoy these curated Diner en Blanc Style rental options to ensure you are chic and gorgeous with a beautifully inspired tabletop!
