Summer Fresh: A Quick and Easy Salad for Summer

This Memorial Day weekend ushers in the official start of summer and another season to make memories to last a lifetime.

This season represents for me a time with family, friends and easy (ier) living.

That includes recipes!

I saw this recipe from a friend on Instagram who is the mom of active toddler twins. I thought, surely if she can make this salad for her family summer get togethers then surely anyone can!

Hope you enjoy this fresh summer salad recipe and also have a great weekend!

Here's her recipe:
3T Olive Oil
1T Lemon
1/2 tsp Salt
3T chopped fresh herbs (Kristen uses mint, basil and chives from her garden)
Baby Tomato Heirlooms
Watermelon chunks
Feta

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and serve chilled.

Easy Daily Inspiration with #Truthbombs

Our world and it's dominant messaging will make you think that inspiring others has to be big, noticeable and complicated.

I believe the exact opposite.

And today I was reminded why I believe that small, daily simple acts can inspire just as profoundly as big, noticeable acts of inspiration.

I keep a few of Danielle LaPorte's #TruthBomb cards on me to either give out, to leave on message boards (especially Starbucks) or as Periscope video inspirations.

Today, when I returned from the bathroom, I saw this kind man looking through my #Truthbomb cards I left on a table.

He inquired about them and asked whether I gave any away.

I said "Absolutely!" and told him to pick out his favorite one from the stack I had with me.

He chose the "Love-(e)volve" #Truthbomb card.

And he stated he was going to I've it to his grandchildren as he had a tear in his eye.

Brilliant.

Inspiration...spread it like wild fire.

It's not complicated.

And if you need easy, uncomplicated help in inspiring people daily, get Danielle LaPorte's #Truthbomb deck and do like I do...spread the inspiration. There are 134 heavy card stock #Truthbomb cards in each box. That means you have 134 opportunities to inspire!

It's Curva-Lish!

Using Your Talent to (Beautifully) Inspire the World

One thing I know for sure is that every single person has talents that are easy to them but awe inspiring to others (who don't have that same talent).

Recently I bumped into the floral designer Lewis Miller Design on Instagram.

If Lewis lived the rest of his life creating his gorgeous designs for his New York clientele, he'd still be considered successful.

What is inspiring me more about this talented florist is that he decided to take his talent a step further: he has started creating flash mob types of installations in trash cans on the street of New York using recycled blooms from his events!

His installations are nothing short of jaw dropping!

His motivation for creating the installations are to spread positivity in our negative times.

He is earning the nickname "Flower Bandit".

Simply brilliant.

So I hope we are all inspired to ask ourselves: how can I take my talent further and inspire the world?

Take Flight: Let It Be You!

In my almost 25 years of consistently taking personal development I bumped into something that I was never told in all those personal development conferences, seminars, training and countless hours of seminars...

When you are going through a crossroads in life and your evolution, find someone who can believe in you for your higher level more than you may be believing in your self (due to fear, confusion, etc).

I'm well versed in digging deep and creating the self confidence to believe in myself when it comes to what I'm familiar with...that's not what I'm referring to.

I'm referring to you getting wise counsel from someone seasoned in life evolutions who can "speak" life to you that creates a fire inside of your 2.0 self that's something that you're clearly not as familiar with even creating as a goal!

This happened to me at the end of a tough week.

I was randomly speaking to a wise older friend who believes in me.

She said something very profound after I expressed a repeated concern regarding a business venture.

After many texts and me saying someone needs to be apart of the leadership to help implement these ideas she finally said:

"Que, let that be you!"

Let that be you.

Four words that hit me like a brick.

As much passion as I have regarding my concern to help, it sounds silly but I actually never even thought about the best way to help is for me to BE it!

So let me ask you: is there something you are passionate about that you have ideas to help the solution but you aren't choosing yourself?

Choose yourself!

Now.

In a world of complainers, we need more people to step up and be apart of the solution...Let that be you!

Let.that.be.you.

And even if you don't have the personal faith to believe in yourself for that new evolution, lean in the faith of the one who believes in you for your next evolution.

Choose yourself.

And let it be you!
